I have been playing around with this as well. The last I read said something about having a 4-7% for your words, is this true or fabricated by someone to make me read their stuff?

I have to say different people have different opinions on this. Frankly speaking, I don’t really care about the keyword density that much. People care about keyword density is because they tend to write website content for search engines/spiders but not for users/human beings. I would always focus on writing for website users. Try to think, if you care about your users, would you repeat something like "sydnye hotels" on your 200 words webpage for 50 times? I bet you will not.

but,it should be Relevant,Well-written,Unique too.. Am I right?

I always believe in keyword relevancy… but there are a lot of keywords to choose from so I don’t think we need to mispell our keywords just to be found.

It’s true that a lot of people mispelt words as they type it but I belive that being found on something thats mispelt would not lead you in a good impression.. Then website credibility comes along in the issue. 

Keyword density is effective in ranking.. as how I see it. But everyone has a choice on how they wanted to be found and by what.
